SMS-Eligita UAB is a Lithuanian capital company established at the end of 1993. In the first two years of its activity, the company was producing food products. Later, the cooperation with the suppliers of raw materials has developed into the business relationships based on the mutual reliance. Since 1995 the company has became an authorized agent of the German concern Rudolf Wild GmbH & Co.KG in the Baltic States (Lithuania, Latvia, Estonia) and Kaliningrad district. This cooperation has also caused the change in the company’s business. The industrial activity has been terminated and the company has become a business enterprise offering various food raw materials to the market. We were able to introduce and consolidate a new producer of raw materials whose production has been used successfully for ten years already at the food industry enterprises in the Baltic States.

The company has grown both physically and financially within these years. In 1995, five employees were working in the company, and now there are 39 employees. At the beginning of the business, we used to sell about 40 tons of raw materials in a year on the average to the producers of soft drinks and this year we will sell 1.200 tons of raw materials to various food industry enterprises.

In 1997, we have organized the Lithuanian soft drinks producers and established LIBELLA group. Hereby we have associated and consolidated the small Lithuanian producers, and extended their existence under the conditions of market globalization. In 2000, the company has initiated the establishment of the National association of soft drinks producers.

We are also expanding our geography successfully. Two companies have been established in Alma-Ata (Kazakhstan); in 2001, the commercial affiliate has been established in Riga (Latvia).

Seeking to consolidate in the market and to meet the demands of the producers at the maximum, we have expanded the assortment of goods, found new business partners in Germany, France, Spain, the Netherlands, Belgium and Poland. These companies entrusted us with their reputation and high quality products, therefore in 2005 the quality management system has been implemented in the company and the company has gained quality certificate LST EN ISO 9001:2001 thus ensuring a high quality of the production and services provided to the clients.

There are two technological laboratories in the company, where the professional technologists develop new products and recipes, solve problems in production processes. In our centre, we organize training courses for our clients and cognitive seminars, as well as business trips to the food industry enterprises in the EU. Over 10 years we are participating in international exhibitions.

The storing of all our products has been concentrated in one place (at Technikos str. Kaunas) as the result of improving our customer’s service.
Our new warehouse meets all safety requirements and hygiene standards of working conditions, so we can provide quick loading-unloading of goods and quality service.
